Kasey has been doing fantastic!
Today she’s having a procedure to transfer fat into her incision area. This is where they had to keep cutting to achieve clean margins. Dr. Swelstad wants to ensure the tissue is strong and has enough healthy volume for the upcoming reconstruction. Doing this now—rather than during the reconstruction—will give the area time to heal properly before any additional stress or trauma.
Kasey will have the procedure this afternoon and is expected to be back to her normal schedule tomorrow. (Total rock star, as always!) She’s staying in great spirits and is counting down the days until school is out so she can fully focus on her health, herself, and her family.
