Kasey walked in the Survivors Fashion Show this weekend, and the pure joy and pride shining on her face said it all. She’s so incredibly proud of everything her journey — and her strong body — has accomplished over the past year. Kasey and all the other amazing women lit up the runway and the entire room. It was such a beautiful and powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and beauty of every woman who has faced this terrible disease. Kasey absolutely rocked it — she looked stunning and so confident!
This Wednesday marks a major milestone: one full year since Kasey received the call no one ever wants to hear. She’s been reflecting a lot lately on everything she’s been through, all she’s accomplished, and how remarkably her body has fought. When you first get that news, a year can feel impossibly long, but look at her — she made it.
We are so incredibly proud of Kasey and the brave fight she continues every single day.
Unfortunately, this Wednesday also brings her next round of treatment. While it’s been called a “little infusion,” it’s actually part of the chemo family and has brought all the typical chemo side effects with it. It caught Kasey a bit off guard, as she wasn’t fully prepared for how tough it would be. The last three weeks have been really challenging, but she’s staying strong and hopeful that the intensity was mostly due to the first dose being a higher “loading dose.”
