Kasey is doing well overall.
She just finished a surgery on Monday. The procedure involved transferring fat into the tissues where the cancer was removed. This step is meant to help her tissue better support the upcoming reconstruction surgery. The date for the reconstruction itself is still unknown.
She continues her injections every three weeks and is tolerating them well. We swear it feels like they are every other week. She did hit a couple of bumps with some unusual lab results, but the doctors quickly identified them and are monitoring her closely to make sure the infusions aren’t causing any harm.
Kasey has returned to work and started a new role there as a counselor. The change has made scheduling her appointments a little easier, though it has also added some extra stress as she adjusts to the new responsibilities.
Thank you all for the love and care you’ve shown her. We will keep you updated. Right now there haven’t been many major changes, and we’re genuinely thankful for that. Sometimes this stage can feel like one of the hardest — people often assume the fight is over, yet she’s still showing up and fighting every single day.
