Kasey is resting at home after making it through today’s treatment. She slept for about an hour and is eager to remove the cold cap for better sleep tonight. Tomorrow, she’ll receive an injection to boost her red blood cell count. Today, the doctors couldn’t feel the mass during examination. The plan is to have her final chemo session in three weeks, followed by a month-long break, then surgery to remove the mass. Pathology results from the surgery will determine which injection which is a HER2+ drug she’s already receiving, Kasey will continue it post-surgery.
