Kasey’s surgery is scheduled for Monday, December 15, at 4:15 PM. She spoke with her doctor and learned that the cells are precancerous. This explains why it has been challenging to remove everything in one procedure: precancerous cells aren’t visible on scans, and pathology results take time, so surgeons can’t confirm during the operation that all affected tissue has been removed.
Kasey continues to show incredible strength—she plans to go to work on Monday morning before heading to the hospital for surgery. Despite multiple unexpected procedures, she has stayed remarkably positive with a little bit of defeat and frustration which is expected due to the circumstances.
